Mexico, the time of the conquistadors and colonization.

In 1519 the conquest begins from Mexico constituting a portion of the New Spain by Spanish managed by Herman the Cortes. A series of engagements opposes Spanish to Mayas, Aztecs and other Amerindian people of less importance, resistance which will stay sometimes more than one century in certain zones.

In 1521, the capital of the Aztec empire Tenochtitlan is conquered and destroyed by the invader. Colonization can then start. It will have 2 notable consequences, on the one hand, the plundering of the richnesses of the area, on the other hand, a strong racial, cultural interbreeding and even monk insofar as the local populations although christiannized will remain marked by their last beliefs.

Administratively, the New Spain was controlled by a viceroy, representative of the crown of Spain. It is advisable to note the presence in this succession of viceroys a descendant from Moctezuma II whose children were nobilied by Charles Quint.

This situation stays until 1810. On this date, the war from independence begins. It will end in 1821 with the treaty of Cordoba recognizing the sovereignty of Mexico and the catch of being able by the chief of the junta Agustín de Iturbide becomes between 1822 and 1823 transitory emperor of Mexico.
